Devices with forced NoDo updates won’t upgrade in the future

Yesterday AT&T released the NoDo update for the Samsung Focus and the LG quantum. But before this, some WP7 users were desperate to get the update, so they decided to force it thanks to a “hack”.

Now Brandon Watson from the Windows Phone team has said on twitter that further updates released won’t be able to install on the “forced” devices.

So to all of the desperate users, you’ll have to find a way around this problem. Or just reset your device.

Reset Instructions:
1) Slide on tap the Arrow on your Windows Phone 7 Start screen.
2) Hit Settings and then scroll down and hit the About menu.
3) Scroll down to the bottom (of the About menu) and find the reset your phone button.
4) Click reset your phone and I strongly recommend that you read the instructions carefully.
