Over 500 new features are being added to Windows Phone with the Mango update, officially dubbed Windows Phone 7.5, and one of Zunited’s top 6 was better SkyDrive integration. Back then, it wasn’t officially announced that SkyDrive was able to play music — and it technically still isn’t — but confirmation has come our way.
In the latest build of Mango (7712) distributed to developers, SkyDrive, under the Office Hub, does play audio files. It’s not exactly known if this was Microsoft’s plan all along or if pressure from competitor companies — Google’s Music and Apple’s iCloud — pushed them into allowing this feature.
