If you haven't turned on your Zune 30 in the past 6 hours, then you don't know this: All Zune 30gb devices have crashed! BUT! There's something you need to know, and that is: DON'T DO A THING. Here's some advice from our very own Mangodroplet (aka Anna Yap) from the forums:
As of 12 AM PST, all zune 30's with current firmware went to the frozen first screen. There you have it. Now remember for updates, questions, and anything else, stay with Zunited.net! Here's the thread where we got the information.
I have tried draining the battery. Does NOT work. Do not recharge once your zune drains. You are just going to overheat the Harddrive. It whirrs extremely when on this first screen.
Also, do NOT crack open your zune and do a hard reset. It has a temporary fix, but according to members, it is only temporary. DO NOT DO ANYTHING.
When called, microsoft support said they are looking into it. Give them 24 hours before they can know more. Do not bother calling. You will be on hold for an hour or more.
Also, Jared, our administrator, has called Caesar Menendez, and has gotten no answers as of yet. He will call me when he does.
So, for now, God Bless our Zune 30's souls.
